I Despise a Floggin' Rooster & Pineapple Casserole
Preface: .
Hi everyone! Happy Fall by the way! The floggin' rooster title is from a line in my favorite movie Cold Mountain. Ruby Thewes RULES! Even with the Twilight sagas Cold Mountain is my favorite all time movie! I was thinking of watching it today while I was trying to remember HOW to navigate Blogger! It's been a while since I posted. So the title has nothing to do with my blog entry....well not all of it.
I thought I would try to redeem myself as a blogger and share a recipe with you! So, I'm about to attempt to take pics as I do that. Hope everyone is still following me even though I've don't nothing with my blog in months to deserve a following. Hoping to change that. I'm NOT brilliant in many things, especially social media and networking. I got my first smartphone yesterday. I don't even know what I'm doing with it either! I had to ask my son, whose almost 18, where the ringtones were...lol.
Been tied up with some other things for many months. Now, if you will bare with me, I will show you how to make THE BEST pineapple casserole ever.........stay tuned! BTW, I still have my YouTube channel which you can find here. There are a few pathetic videos there. ;-) Have a great day!!!

Mama Taye's Anniversary and Aspirations of a You Tube Big Wig
Hi friends, rather I should say good morning since its after 2 a.m. and I've just now logged in to begin updating my blog (more tomorrow I promise!)
I have spent the day working hard (taking frequent breaks due to back pain!) making my Co-Co Beanz Creations facebook page a little better, creating my very own YouTube channel (inspired and motivation came from my favorite person out there in social networking land Vanessa Wilson, owner of The Crafty Gemini). I just adore her! I hope she doesn't think I am stalking her since I have sent her 9,999 emails telling her how she encourages me and how much I love her ~giggles.
She's a lawyer for Pete's sake and gave it up for the most part so she could stay home, make sewing and cooking videos, and be with her babies. Sounds just like me and what I want to be when I grow up. I have a birthday next month. I'm not counting! Anyway she loves to see people succeed and I hope she doesn't think I am being a copy cat. Lord knows I've wanted to do something on FILM since I was a little girl. I was thinking and dreaming more along the lines of an Academy Award winning actress like Renee Zellweger, but by golly I will settle for a YouTube channel and being a mere novice and mostly an unknown! I just need followers! Last time I checked I had a little over 700. It's a little sad. But I won't give up. Since I have a lot in common with some of the great bloggers and cooks out there maybe there's room for me too. I just have a different style. I really don't know how to explain it.......you can watch my videos and see for youself. I'm pretty sure its the southern accent. If I had a British accent I'd never shut up. I love to hear Adele talk (and sing!) Anyway, I'd love to read your comments.
One person who would be my biggest supporter moved to live in heaven 19 years ago today. My Mother-in-law, Faye. She would be so proud of me. Keith and Cody are proud. I may not have a big following....but they think I'm a huge star!
I have pics from our camping trip this past weekend at Arrowhead Park and I promise to get those up to you tomorrow. Right now I'm so sleepy I can barely think straight. God bless all of you. I will end with a video I made and posted on my YouTube channel today...my very first one on the channel! How excited! I have more cooking/kitchen how-to's on there right now than I do sewing....but just wait...they're coming ;-)
I can't wait to start on the Crafty Gemini online quilt a long tomorrow. I'm going to make some awesome quilt blocks under her guidance and direction....other than that I have so many other plans.....if only I had the stamina and a pain free low back! Do you ever feel like time is running out on you? I've felt like that lately.
Good night everyone. God Bless! PLEASE leave a comment. I love comments that encourage me. I know I can grow and prosper. I'm giving it all I've got and I'm not getting any younger :-) I sure do miss my Grandmama. The Decorah Eagles babies are hatching right now. I will tell you about them tomorrow. You can find them on Ustream. I love baby eaglets!

New York Giants, Lady Gaga and Butterfinger Cake
Hey ya'll!
I just went through 45 minutes of password reset torture. I'm bad about changing my passwords and not writing them down. Not a good idea for people over 40 and forgetful (like myself!) not to mention the fact you have to log into everything now-a-days its easy to get passwords mixed up or forget which one goes to which site. To make a long story short I had to go through a dozen guesses and email resets to get to my blog in order to make an entry. I guess Blogger thinks I am hacking in on myself. Oh, well. I'm good to go now. And, yes, I wrote down my password. I think.......(snickers)
How about them Giants? Well. I had this flight of ideas about the Superbowl. I was fascinated with the Roman numerals this year. I went around the house quizzing my darling husband about Roman numerals...... "L" is fifty. So an "X" in front of the "L" means you subtract 10 from 50....we had fun arguing over what XLVI meant. Of course, I won, as usual. I think hubby just 'lets' me win all the time. He loves me like that ;-)
No, I pulled for the Giants. Why? Well, I don't watch football all year until they get down to the play offs. I picked New York because.....well, it's New York! The Twin Towers fell there, Lady Liberty lives there, Times Square.....I just like the IDEA of New York better than the IDEA of New England. New England just reminds me of Reba McEntire. Whoever's In New England was one of her first #1 hit songs.
I made my famous Butterfinger Cake.....not anyone's recipe....but mine. I've been making it for years. It was gone in 24 hours. My son and his friends LOVE me to make that cake. Anway, guess it was good luck. I was a split second away from going to bed when the Patriots were ahead.....only to see that incomplete pass at the end and the Giants scored to win it. I like New York. And of course, Lady Gaga, my favorite, is from there. That's just trivial. To change the subject (which I'm very good at) I do not like cream cheese icing on all cakes. Butterfinger Cake.....Cool Whip. Not everything is good with cream cheese.
I am glad my doctors appointment got moved up. This blog entry would have never happened! I didn't want to budge from my seat today. Not even to refill my teacup. That's when it dawned on me I haven't made a blog entry since last year. My Grandmama died and I could have cared less about blogging. Then, of course, there were the dreaded holidays. Make no mistake, I am greatful for the holidays but they were sad. First time in 42 years I've not spent the holidays with my precious Grandmama. But I love my family, my home, my life. Just ain't the same without my G'Ma.....I am very blessed to live next door to my parents, and just houses away from my other grandmother who I call "Granny" <3
I have very few followers and thats ok. I'm pretty boring. I think the older I get, the more boring I become. And the more naps I want to take......... I intend to find some energy now that I've got my strip quilt on my mind....well.......it's not a quilt yet, just a huge plastic storage bin of scraps cut into strips ~sighs~ Maybe I will blog again tomorrow...and get fancy with a lot of hyperlinks and photos! That sounds like a good idea, so ya'll come back now, ya hear? p.s. notice how I didn't mention the half-time show? I'm a huge GaGa fan. Lady Gaga. :-) Have a favorite cake recipe to share? Please email me!
