Why KNOT? Lovely KNOT dresses!

As always, I slack up on keeping my blog updated! BUT, the good thing is that when I do update I have proof of all the pretty things that have been under construction :-)
Take for instance, the lovely KNOT DRESS. They are all the rave but if you had one from Co-Co Beanz you would see that ours are the best (Thanks Denise). Anyway, I have big plans on making these on gorgeous Christmas and holiday prints from Moda.

Co-Co Beanz in a Professional Shoot!

Just thought I would share my excitement! My friend is a professional photographer for Kimberly G Photography. She featured one of my sectioned peasant dresses in a recent shoot. Isn't it adorable? I love making these dresses...they can be worn anytime, anyplace, with or without bloomers, and they are so affordable, even with the most expensive fabric. I'd love to make you one.

Thank you for being patient as I lag behind on updating! I am so grateful to our military and feel ever more prideful to live in America. To be able to have the freedom we do is a gift. I had to pay tribute to this year's holiday by making a red, white and blue dress! Dont you love it? It's the Modkid Frida Dress by Patti Young....it was an instant hit. Please bear with me and follow along. I am hoping to have a website within the next few weeks...to give me more time to sew the beautiful kids outfits that I love! Having Fun in the Sun! Happy Summer Everyone :-)

One of the biggest NO-NO's in blogging is to go too long without posting! Well I did. Please forgive me! Time to spark this thing back up. Since school has been out we've been vacationing, camping and quite honestly I haven't done a lot of sewing, in fact, turning down some orders.

Once my sewing room gets strung and strewn after making 5-6 dresses it takes some time to get things back together...therefore I need a larger studio!!! Anyway, baseball season is in full swing despite the sweltering heat. Boredom sets in for my son so I love to try spending all the time with him I can.....but things are pretty settled and Co-Co Beanz cannot fall by the wayside.

I am back in sewing/designing mode and having recently purchaced new Moda for upcoming dresses, tops, bottoms, etc. My favorite thing in the world is to have everything else done so all I have to do is sew, sew, sew. School will start back before you know it. Planning the cutest clothes for fall soon...and it entails taking sweatshirts and cutting them up and putting them back together....whoever thought sweatshirts would be the 'in" thing? Look for new things coming soon.

Pillowcase Dresses---Blue Isn't Just for Boys!!!

I'm on a Pillowcase dress making kick lately. I have made several! A special request was for one but Sandy said "Please NO PINK!" Her grandaughter has "warned" her that she buys her too much pink. So I thought, why not the opposite...BLUE! PERFECT! And I made her bloomers to match! These dresses are so fun to make! It's my own pattern and no two are the same. That's why they are so UNIQUE! Good morning...er, afternoon! I've been so crazy busy tweaking my business cards, the marketing flyer and sales price list for Co-Co Beanz! Frogs Rule!!!

Aren't they adorable? My cousin Jean HATES frogs! She always has! Me, I love ANY frog.
These are the cutest sets. So, I will never understand why someone could hate a frog (giggling!)

Blogging on Sunday

Nervous as I am....I finally have a blog and, more importantly, a name for it! Let me explain. Cody is our only child. We have always called him Co-Co for short. So since I love Cody and I love coffee...and I LOVE TO SEW..... Co-Co Beanz Designs is born! The name took 3 months to figure out. It is the only one that has 'stuck'.
